Overview
This privacy policy covers the balu mobile and web app. The balu app connects exclusively to a server that you choose and operate yourself (self-hosted). blaumedia GmbH operates no backend for the app and receives no personal data from the app. Responsibility for the data processed on your server lies with you as the operator of that server.
What data the app stores
To provide its features, balu stores account data (such as your email address and name) and your todo content (tasks, lists, dates, comments, assignments). This data is stored on the server you have chosen and in a local offline database on your device. It is synced only between your device and that server. No data is sent to blaumedia GmbH or to any third party by the app.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
The balu app contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that transmit your data. There are no advertising identifiers and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Notifications
Local notifications (for example task reminders) are scheduled on your device and processed there. Optional external notification channels (ntfy, email or Telegram) are configured by you against your own server; delivery through these channels is handled by your server and the respective provider, and is the responsibility of the operator of that server.
